In celebration of the National Womenβs Month 2026, the GFPS β TWG together with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology β Female Dormitory conducted a Gender SensitivitySeminar to 20 persons deprived of liberty on March 17, 2026 to show how gender shapes the roles of women and men in society, including the role in development and how it affects relationship between men and women. Furthermore the goal of the seminar is to raise the level of awareness of each participant on gender issues & concerns to develop strategy and support mechanisms to promote women’s human rights, gender equality and eliminate gender discrimination.
The seminar was faciliated by Ms. Janice I. Calucag, Population Program Officer III and GAD Secretariat.
